#SayTheirNamesArt

SOEquity is partnering with BASE, SOBLACC and community members to transform the Say Their Names Memorial in Ashland's Railroad Park into a permanent installation.

#HawthorneMutualAid

SOEquity is supporting community members feeding and providing essential supplies to our houseless neighbors. We are currently raising funds for a food truck in order to make this project more sustainable and accessible.

#FireRelief

SOEquity has collaborated with dozen of organizations and hundreds of volunteers to provide mutual aid support to our community members who have been affected and/or displaced by the fires that occurred this past September. We are currently focused on securing long-term and transitional housing for families and winter gear.

#BiasReportingSystem

The Southern Oregon Bias Reporting System is a newly-launched community project. The goal of this system is to provide a place that is independent of local governments and police departments where individuals can report incidents of bias, harassment, intimidation happening in Jackson and Josephine Counties.

Past Projects

Justice For Aidan

On November 23, 2020, Aidan Ellison, a 19-year-old young Black man, was playing music in a friend's car when a white man confronted him, escalated the situation, and fatally shot him.

Six Feet Apart

SOEquity supported Anima Mundi Productions in their efforts to bring BIPOC and marginalized voices to their Six Feet Apart poetry and music project on life in Oregon during the COVID-19 pandemic.

You ARE Enough

In August 2020, SOEquity set out to have a family-friendly barbecue to uplift the voices of local children of color. The critical response was so overwhelming, a simple event turned into a rally to have our voices heard.
